Annexation Public Hearing Pushed Back One Week

The public hearing concerning the annexation of 72 acres of property north of Bremen has been delayed one week.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the town council was notified of the issue this week. The proper amount of days allowed for notification of the hearing was miscalculated thus resulting in the delay. The public hearing is now set for Wednesday, May 9, at 6 p.m. at the Bremen Town Hall.

The Southwire company has plans to expand operations in the 72 acres proposed in the annexation petition. Anyone wishing to learn more about the project or has an opinion for or against the project is encouraged to attend the public hearing.
