Marshall County Election Board Approves Vote Center Change

The Marshall County Election Board reviewed a proposal to house two Vote Centers at the Knights of Columbus building.

The board previously learned that the National Guard Armory building is undergoing renovations and those improvements will not be complete in time for the May 8 Primary Election. The members thought moving that Vote Center into the Knights of Columbus building would work. That location is already a Plymouth East Vote Center so the board opted to merge the two Vote Centers into that building.

The board took action Tuesday morning to approve a resolution that officially lists the Knights of Columbus as a Vote Center for the Plymouth West and Plymouth East locations. That action will be reflected as an amendment to the Vote Center Plan to be filed with the Indiana Election Division.

This change is valid for the May Primary Election only. The National Guard Armory is expected to be open as a Vote Center for the November General Election.

There are 12 Vote Centers: Triton High School, Knights of Columbus Room A, Knights of Columbus Room B, Marshall County REMC, Bremen High School, Bremen Missionary Church, United Methodist Church in Argos, Lapaz Fire Station, Tyner Community Building, Tippecanoe Community Building, Culver Depot, and Pretty Lake Church Fellowship Hall.
