The Culver Town Council members will open bids for the Sand Hill Farms workforce housing development project in March.
Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist explained to the council members last week that Engineer Mark Sullivan will have design plans ready for bidders on Wednesday, Feb. 28. A notice will be published so bidders have time to get them in by the deadline.
The Culver Town Council will meet in special session on Thursday, March 22 at 4 p.m. at Culver Town Hall to open bids. The bids will most likely be taken under advisement and then awarded during the council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, March 27. The Culver Redevelopment Commission members are expected to meet in joint session with the council that night to award the bid. The meeting that night will start at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Hall.
The Sand Hill Farms workforce housing development project will provide housing for those seeking one, two or three bedroom apartments who want to make Culver their home. The project helps complete goals of increasing housing and population, plus an increase in enrollment and economy in Culver. The development will be constructed at 540 W. Jefferson Street.
