
An Elkhart man was arrested, after police say he crashed a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol, injuring his female passenger. Marshall County Police say they were called to the area of U.S. 6 and U.S. 31 at around 1:15 Sunday morning, after getting a report of a woman walking down the road with visible injuries. After investigating, officers believe that Dustin Isaiah Cavinder, 42, had been operating a motorcycle with the woman as a passenger, when he crashed on U.S. 6, just west of U.S. 31.

Marshall County Coroner John Grolich has confirmed that an accident between a semi and an Eastern Pulaski Community School Bus resulted in one fatality Wednesday morning (12/5). The collision occurred between 13th and 14th Roads on U.S. 31 near Argos.
Officials from Indiana Department of Transportation want motorists to be aware of a couple of bridge projects starting in Marshall County this week.
A vehicle pursuit in Plymouth Thursday night reportedly ended with the arrest of a South Bend man on meth-related charges. Around 10:43 p.m., Plymouth Police say they tried to pull over a red passenger for an equipment violation. But instead of stopping, the driver allegedly sped away, leading police on a pursuit toward the south side of Plymouth.
The U.S 31 and State Road 17 projects in Marshall County are moving along.
A proposal to add J-turn intersections to U.S. 31 drew an overflow crowd to the Argos Town Hall Tuesday. Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation say that adding J-turn intersections at State Road 10 and State Road 110 would significantly improve safety.
The City of Plymouth may benefit from some big regional transportation upgrades planned for the future, and the city’s committing some funds to help with the process. The Plymouth Common Council voted Tuesday to contribute $10,000 to the U.S. 30 Coalition Project.
U.S. 31 is open to traffic again in Marshall County after a four-vehicle crash early this morning claimed a life.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will be periodically closing lanes on U.S. 31 between U.S. 30 and 4A Road in Marshall County for the next few days.
A portion of U.S. 6 will be closed this week for chip sealing. INDOT officials advise the highway will be shut down between State Road 23 in Walkerton and U.S. 31 in LaPaz tomorrow through Friday in order to preserve the road surface, if the weather cooperates.
