The Purdue Extension Community Development Program is hosting a local government finance workshop for economic development professionals, local elected and appointed officials and community leaders.
The workshop will be held at the Plymouth Public Library from 1p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15th. It is geared toward community members from a number of counties including Marshall, Pulaski and Starke.

Customers of some Culver businesses may soon be paying additional taxes. Town Manager Jonathan Leist says a couple new taxes are under consideration. 
While the Marshall County Council is considering possible tax increases, State Representative Tim Harman has a few ideas of his own. 
Following the defeat of a ballot referendum to raise the property tax levy in Argos, local school officials say they’re still optimistic the community will come together for its students.
Marshall County asked about taxes, and the Town of Culver has provided an answer.
