Driving a stolen vehicle without a license while in possession of marijuana is what Marshall County Police say led to the arrest of a South Bend man Saturday. Sheriff’s deputies say they saw a 2000 Toyota Camry with an equipment violation heading north on U.S. 31 near 19th Road around 1:15 a.m.

A South Bend man was arrested, after allegedly leading police on a chase from Argos to Rochester Saturday night. Marshall County Police say they tried to pull over a vehicle driven by David D. Rotzien III near U.S. 31 and 16th Road at around 8:00 p.m. But instead of pulling over, he allegedly accelerated and continued into Fulton County.

Two people were arrested, following a police chase on U.S. 31 that ended in Marshall County Tuesday night. Indiana State Police say it began just after 10:00 p.m. in Miami County, when a trooper tried to pull over a Toyota that was allegedly going 95 miles per hour in a 60-mile-an-hour zone.

Trying to flee from police while under the influence of alcohol with his two kids in the minivan is what police say landed a Plymouth man in jail Thursday night. Marshall County Police say that just after 11:30 p.m., they were made aware of a drunk driver with his two juvenile children with him. A short time later, they were reportedly told that the man was going to a home in the 13,000 block of 5th Road.

A Plymouth man is accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, after police say he initially refused to pull over for a traffic stop early Sunday morning. Plymouth Police say Jared M. Knapp, 25, briefly tried to elude police before eventually pulling over near the intersection of Angel and Charles streets.

On Thursday, January 11th, Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer reported locating 35-year-old Maribel Alvarado, of Plymouth, operating a vehicle on Oak Drive.
Officer Gilmer said that Alvarado had an active warrant for her arrest in Marshall County for failure to appear on an intimidation charge. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle but Alvarado reportedly proceeded to drive to her residence on Hillcrest. Continue reading
