Plymouth Official Hopes INDOT Project Could Lead to Intersection Upgrades
The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning to repave State Road 17 through Plymouth in the near future, and one Board of Works member hopes that will mean some upgrades for the city’s intersections. Plymouth Code Enforcement Officer Keeps Tabs on Tall Grass
Plymouth residents for the most part are heeding warnings from the city’s code enforcement officer to keep their grass cut. Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt says the city has already mowed a dozen or so lawns. When they do, the property owner is charged $35 per hour, with a minimum of two hours billed. Plymouth Officials Remind Residents of Yard Waste Restrictions
The City of Plymouth will pick up grass clippings and a branch or two from residential yards but will not haul off waste from professional contractors. Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt says doing so costs the city too much money. He adds it’s still a perennial fight with some property owners. Marquardt told the board of works this week a resident asked him why the city cut down a chipped a tree two blocks from her house but couldn’t do hers.
