Bremen Police Department Joins Operation Pull Over Blitz 92

The end of the year is a time where many motorists travel more frequently in order to visit friends and family for various festivities.

The Thanksgiving holiday in particular is one of the busiest times for Americans traveling on the roadways. In 2015, more than 380 individuals died in the U.S. during the traditional four-day Thanksgiving weekend.

To help keep the streets safer this season, the Bremen Police Department is teaming up with hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the state for Operation Pull Over Blitz 92. The enforcement period will take place from November 10th through December 3rd. Continue reading

Indiana State Police to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

Drivers traveling through Marshall County on Friday, March 24 may be stopped by police participating in an effort to keep roads safe from dangerous drivers.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police-Bremen Post will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the Operation Pull Over Period Blitz #89 focused on dangerous driving. Troopers will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts including sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols with emphasis on locating impaired motorists and dangerous drivers.

Marshall County Law Enforcement Agencies Release Operation Pull Over Results

Plymouth Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officers worked extra shifts last month as part of a crackdown on impaired driving. During the Operation Pull Over blitz, county officers made five criminal arrests for offenses like operating while intoxicated – controlled substance, possession of marijuana, driving while suspended and driver never licensed. They also issued 132 traffic citations and warnings. Continue reading

Operation Pull Over Set for Month of March

Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will work additional hours to help reduce accidents and keep roadways safe in an upcoming enforcement blitz.

The department is participating in Operation Pull Over starting March 1 and ending March 31. Officers will focus on impaired driving, aggressive driving and seat belt/child restraint violations, in addition to enforcing all traffic laws.

Operation Pull Over is available thanks to federal funding that allows officers to work overtime for these specialized patrols beyond regular duty.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Prepares for OPO Blitz

police-lightsThe Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is one of several law enforcement agencies across Indiana are taking part in an Operation Pull Over blitz through the end of the month. Patrol officers will be looking for drunk drivers and seatbelt violators.

Last November 490 alcohol-related crashes occurred in Indiana, resulting in 224 injuries and 13 fatalities. A total of 735 drivers were arrested statewide for driving under the influence, and 9.504 seatbelt citations were issued to drivers and passengers who were not buckled up.
