Indiana State Police to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

Drivers traveling through Marshall County on Friday, March 24 may be stopped by police participating in an effort to keep roads safe from dangerous drivers.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police-Bremen Post will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the Operation Pull Over Period Blitz #89 focused on dangerous driving. Troopers will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts including sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols with emphasis on locating impaired motorists and dangerous drivers.

Drivers will be asked to present a valid driver’s license and vehicle registration when entering a checkpoint. This will reduce time spent during the stop. Motorists can expect short delays of only two to three minutes.

If a suspected drunk driver is spotted on Indiana’s roadways, call 911 with a description of the vehicle, location and direction of travel. You could help save more than one life with one phone call to police.
