A contract was reviewed during the Commissioners Monday morning meeting. The agreement is considered the last leg of the work to make upgrades to the service. E911 projects allow the implementation of certain technology to supply the location of emergency callers.

A funeral procession took place Thursday morning for Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin.
He passed away on Friday evening after a battle with cancer. A public viewing was held on Wednesday at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth for Marshall County residents to pay their respects.

The Marshall County Commissioners will open bids for a fleet leasing program during their meeting this morning.
The Marshall County Council will meet on Monday for an annual recognition of probationary pay waivers.
The policy is part of Marshall County’s salary ordinance which specifies that new employees receive a 10-percent reduced pay from the normal scale for a period. Once the probationary period has passed, wages are returned to their normal scale.
The Plymouth Police Department spent time earlier this week arresting individuals wanted on warrants out of Starke County.
The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed community contract costs for 911 Dispatch services, but a communication mix-up caused quite a stir with Town officials.
The contracts were set-out in an attempt to define how computer systems and operations for the new system will work. The costs for paying that service were recommended to be split depending on the percentage of calls received.

A three vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Marshall County sent two to the hospital.

A Kewanna woman has been arrested following reports that she stole items from a purse at a Wendy’s location in Plymouth.
Officers were called to the fast-food restaurant location around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, but located the suspect in the bathroom. One officer addressed the perpetrator, identified as 37-year-old Anna Price, while the other made contact with the victim.
Marshall County may soon be able to see the benefit of new vehicles and equipment while avoiding the burdensome cost associated with such purchases.
