The Plymouth City Council members this week had the first reading of an ordinance that lists the fee schedules for the Department of Aviation and Department of Parks and Recreation for the City of Plymouth.

Members of the City of Plymouth Fee Schedule Subcommittee met Tuesday morning to go over proposed fee increases for each department. The main reason for the review of fees is to help each department cover their costs instead of using taxpayer money to subsidize deficits.
New Fees to Take Effect Feb. 1 in Culver
The Town of Culver will require building permits for reproofing projects and installation of solar energy systems in town limits or in the town’s two-mile planning and zoning jurisdiction. The fee schedule goes into effect on Thursday, Feb. 1.
Fees for roof replacements with no structural change will be $50. Permits for micro solar energy systems are $50 while a medium system permit is $100 and $150 for large systems. Continue reading
Plymouth City Council Discusses Park Department Fee Schedule
The Plymouth City Council members reviewed the proposed park department fee ordinance when they met last week.
The park board approved the fee schedule two weeks ago. Park Superintendent Michael Hite noted that he meets with the executive board once a year to go over the fees. He said in 2011 there were increases, but lowered them in 2013 because a lot of the buildings were not rented because of the higher fees. He mentioned that the rates for 2018 are the same as 2017.
