The Argos Town Council members considered allowing a pay raise for part-time police officers during their most recent meeting.
At the Town Council’s first meeting in October, Police Chief Corey Bowman proposed raising the part-time rate a few dollars in order to stay competitive with surrounding departments. Before coming to a decision, council members requested to see some of the rates that other departments pay their part-time employees.

Argos Police Officers to Work 8 Hour Shifts Until Remaining Positions Are Filled
When the Argos Town Council met last Wednesday, they were informed about a recent resignation on the police force.
Police Chief Corey Bowman presented a letter of resignation on behalf of Officer Donald Davis. Draft minutes provided by Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney indicate that all officers on the department will be working 8 hours shifts until the positions are filled. Continue reading
