Argos Officer to Train at SRO School

An Argos Police Officer will be training as a School Resource Officer.

Argos Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney stated that Dave Carrell will be attending the School Resource Officer School in October. The NASRO Basic School Resource Officer Course is a 40-hour block of instruction designed for law enforcement officers in order to obtain tools for officers to build positive relationships with students and school administrators. Education professionals also benefit from attending the training as it provides a more in-depth understanding of the role and functions of a School Resource Officer.

With this change in personnel, Mullaney said Argos Police Chief Corey Bowman is still taking applications for two open positions on the Argos Police Department. A link to an application can be found here.
