Help Local Students Achieve Dreams of Higher Education with Argos Dollars for Scholars
If you’d like to help students within Marshall County achieve their post-secondary education dreams, consider making a donation to Argos Dollars for Scholars.
On their organization website, the program is described as an affiliate chapter of the national organization Scholarship America. Argos Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit organization made up of local, unsalaried student and adult volunteers.
It was established to help raise scholarship money for deserving high school graduates who show exceptional past performance and promising future potential. Continue reading

Argos Schools and Argos Teacher Recognized for the Recent Nominations
At the Argos School Board meeting last week some faculty members were recognized for their recent accomplishments.
Superintendent Ned Speicher recognized and congratulated the Jr./Sr. High School principal Nick Medich for the nomination for school of the year through the Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program for Indiana (AP-TIP IN), offered by the University of Notre Dame. Argos School Board Approves Parking Lot Projects
The Argos School Board approved two projects related to needed renovations in the school’s parking lot during a meeting Monday evening. The first project, drainage line installment, will begin August 28th and will temporarily impact dismissal procedures at the school. Continue reading
Public Hearing Scheduled this Morning for Faulkner Fabricating Tax Abatement
The Marshall County Council will consider moving ahead with a tax abatement request from Faulkner Fabricating. Last month, the council designated the site of the facility an Economic Revitalization Area.
