Funeral services for 66-year-old Terry Walker of Walkerton are Monday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. EDT at Rannells Funeral Home at the Koontz Lake Chapel. Visitation is Sunday, May 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society for Terry Walker.

Maxinkuckee Players Schedule “Hello, Dolly!” Auditions
Aspiring thespians can audition this weekend for a part in this summer’s Maxinkuckee Players production of “Hello, Dolly!” Auditions will take place tomorrow from 9 a.m. until noon and 1 until 5 p.m. EDT and Sunday from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Culver Community High School auditorium. Culver Relay for Life Set for Tonight
The Culver Relay for Life event kicks off today with the survivor dinner at 5 p.m. ET on the campus of the Culver Military Academy.
The committee has been working hard to bring in more donations to help fight cancer. So far, 39 teams with 349 participants have raised $27,741 toward the cause. More donations will be accepted during the event that runs through Saturday morning at 6 a.m.
Several fundraisers are planned throughout the evening.
Many Offices Closed in Observance of Good Friday
If you have business to conduct with a government body tomorrow, you may want to phone first. Marshall County government offices are closed in observance of Good Friday. Indiana is one of 13 states that give employees the day off. BMV offices that are normally open on Fridays will be closed. Normal business hours will resume on Saturday. Mail will be delivered on Friday, and federal government offices will be open.
Ancilla College Announces Summer CNA Course
Ancilla College is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant course this summer. Graduates who pass the Indiana State Department of Health CNA test are state-certified to work as nurse’s aides in long-term care facilities, home health and hospice groups and assisted living facilities.
Prospective enrollees must pass a physical, drug screen and background check. The program consists of 32 hours of classroom instruction and 75 hours of clinicals. Courses will meet Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 until 10 p.m. starting June 8th. Funeral services for Miles S. “Steve” Perschbacher, 73, of Plymouth, are Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. at New Song Community Church in Plymouth, with visitation there from 4:30 until the time of the service. Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth is in charge of arrangements.

Investigation Clears Jefferson Elementary Principal, Teacher of Wrongdoing
A Plymouth Community School Corporation principal and teacher will return to the classroom today after an investigation into possible mismanagement of school funds cleared them of any wrongdoing. Marshall County Man Arrested After Reported Domestic Disturbance
A Marshall County man ended up in jail there Sunday evening after a scuffle with police responding to a report of a stabbing. Officers were called to a residence in the 7000 block of 11A Road around 4:30 p.m. When they arrived they learned nobody had been stabbed but a fight had taken place between the residents.
