Culver Looks to Revamp Fees, Gain Additional Information on Flouride

An item tabled for several weeks will come back for additional comments during tonight’s Culver Town Council meeting.

Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30 EDT, the Town Council will hold a work session to discuss changes to its permitting process. The fees being charged were requested to be changed due to Culver reliance on Marshall County for certain inspections.

Culver Union Township Public Library Blood Drive – Book Your Appointment Today

According to the American Red Cross every two seconds someone in the U.S needs a transfusion. Ancilla College Schedules Dorm Blessing Ceremony

Ancilla College officials have scheduled a blessing ceremony for the first residence hall to be constructed on the campus of the private, two-year school. Director of Marketing and Social Media Amanda Petrucelli says a public open house will also take place on Aug. 18 from 4 until 6 p.m. After the blessing, several dignitaries will speak. Ordinance May Allow Retired Officer to Purchase Service Weapon

The Plymouth Board of Works and Common Council will consider a compromise tonight to allow a recently retired city police officer to keep his department-issued handgun. They were prepared to declare it surplus property and gift it to Ted Brown at their last meeting, until a member of the public questioned the legality of doing so. City attorney Sean Surrisi recommended they table the matter so additional research could be done. Continue reading

Ancilla College Adds New Certificate Programs

Several new certificate offerings at Ancilla College are designed to help people quickly get into the workforce. Director of Marketing and Social Media Amanda Petrucelli says Ancilla is a two-year school, but officials there acknowledge some people don’t have that much time. The certificate programs are 30 credit hours each and can be done in two semesters. Offerings include criminal justice, business administration, exercise science, general studies, behavioral science, logistics and administrative medical assistant. Continue reading
