An alternative learning school in Knox is partnering with Ancilla College to offer scholarships to students.
The two-year liberal arts school in Marshall County is awarding their “Ancilla Alternative Achievement Award” to two students from The Crossing Educational Center in Knox.
A Plymouth man was airlifted to Memorial Hospital of South Bend after a Saturday afternoon utility vehicle versus car crash. It happened on Hawthorn Road south of 12th Road around 1:10 p.m., according to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department news release. Continue reading

After an exceptionally stormy summer so far, Indiana will receive a blast of hot summer air this weekend. The National Weather Service predicts temperatures will reach at least 90 degrees across most of the state. Combined with high humidity, the heat index in some areas will reach more than 100 degrees. Prolonged exposure to these conditions can lead to heat illnesses like heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Pulaski County’s largest and most expensive home could soon have a new owner. The Braun Mansion will be sold at auction in New York on Aug. 6th. It was built in 1998 for Braun Corporation founder Ralph Braun, who died in February of 2013. Residents of the Town of Culver are now expected to keep their grass trimmed to eight inches or fewer.
Following an exchange of words with a resident cited by the Town for failing to mow the lawn at a property he owned, Culver decided to make more specific language in the nuisance ordinance. People can also find out more from U.S. Lawns, for the best lawn services.

Plymouth Schools Superintendent Dan Tyree was released from the hospital on Sunday.
Complications from a kidney transplant surgery led Tyree to be readmitted to an Indianapolis hospital last week. According to information released by the school corporation, Tyree is now recovering at home prior to students returning to class.
The project list has been limited to 18, but the Michiana Partnership says projects included on the current grant application have not changed for several weeks.
The Michiana Partnership has worked with County and City officials regarding the Regional Cities Initiative. It’s a $42-million grant operated by the state with the aim of attracting and retaining population.
