An accident involving two vehicles caused damage to a building on Jefferson Street on Monday afternoon.
According to Plymouth Police, a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old driver was attempting to cross Jefferson Street at North Walnut Street in his Chevy Silverado when it collided with Barbara Wray’s vehicle at the intersection. The driver stated he did not see Wray’s Jeep Wrangler traveling east on West Jefferson Street in Plymouth. As a result, Wray’s Jeep pushed the Silverado into a building and caused damage to the corner of the building at 225 W. Jefferson Street. No injuries were reported at the scene.

A public hearing is set to gather input on the reestablishment of the Cumulative Capital Development Fund in Marshall County.
The Culver School Board received an update on the status of ISTEP testing during their meeting Monday Night. Middle/High School Assistant Principal and Curriculum Director Julie Berndt takes on the role of testing coordinator when it comes to this mandatory state testing. She explained to the board that students in grades 3 through 8 participate in English/Language Arts and Math in addition to Social Studies and Science testing during a period of two weeks. Each grade is tested individually and teachers monitor the work in a locked classroom. Tenth grade students also participate in testing.
Time is running out for prospective college students to fill out their financial aid forms if they hope to qualify for aid from the state. 
March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and the Hoosier Lottery encourages players to be responsible in their wagering. 
The Marshall County Commissioners will receive updates from various county department heads this morning. EMA Director Clyde Avery and Building Inspector Chuck DeWitt will each present their quarterly reports.

Plymouth has made the list of Indiana’s safest cities. The city came in at number 19 on the National Council for Home Safety and Security’s 2017 list for cities and towns with at least 5,000 residents. 
Time is running out for an estimated 21,000 Hoosier taxpayers to claim federal tax refunds from 2013. To collect the money, taxpayers must file a 2013 tax return with the IRS no later than this year’s tax deadline, which is Tuesday, April 18. 
The City of Plymouth will soon be paying more for utility reports. The common council approved an updated agreement with accounting firm Umbaugh and Associates this week. 
Methamphetamine was allegedly found during a Plymouth traffic stop Thursday morning, sending two people to jail. It happened around 9:45 a.m. at U.S. 30 and Michigan Street, according to the Marshall County Police Department. 
Peanut butter-filled pretzels may start being made in Plymouth as soon as next week. Pretzels, Inc. is wrapping up construction on its new manufacturing facility in the Marshall County Shell Building. 
The Town of Culver has scheduled its spring clean-up day, but a lack of volunteers means it may be the only one for the year. In the past, the town has held two clean-up days, one in the spring and one in the fall. 
The Indiana State Police and local law enforcement agencies are teaming up to crack down on aggressive and impaired drivers during the month of March.
