Officials from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department say a medical event with an inmate occurred Friday, March 15 at the Marshall County Jail. Police say the inmate was immediately taken to the hospital and then transferred to a hospital in St. Joseph County. Later that day, the inmate was released on his own recognizance while still hospitalized.
