Drug Free Marshall County is stepping up efforts to combat drug and alcohol misuse by awarding grants worth more than $57,000 to local entities. Stolen Tractor Recovered, Walkerton Man Arrested for Drunk Driving

A report of a stolen tractor resulted in the Sunday morning arrest of a Walkerton man on drunk driving charges. A resident in the 20,000 block of 8th Road called 911 in Marshall County around 8:15 a.m. to report a tractor with a sprayer attached had just been stolen. The caller advised it was last seen heading eastbound on 8th Road towards Donaldson. Continue reading

State Health Officials Discuss Heart Disease Prevention

February is American Heart Month, and the Indiana State Department of Health is asking Hoosiers to help raise awareness of overall heart health.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women nationwide. In 2014, almost 14,000 Indiana residents died from heart disease, accounting for more than one in every five deaths.
