Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Possession Arrest

A Tuesday night traffic stop for an equipment violation resulted in the arrest of a Twelve Mile man on numerous charges, including drug possession.

An officer from the Marshall County Police Department stopped a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Robert Marion Freet of Twelve Mile on U.S. 31 near 11th Road just before midnight.

He was reportedly in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine and was impaired, according to the incident report. Freet was arrested for operating while intoxicated, possession of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia.
