Culver Residents Encouraged to Apply for Open Boards and Commissions

Several seats are open on boards and commissions in the Town of Culver in 2024 and applications are being taken to fill those seats.

There are two Culver Plan Commission seats open that are appointed by the town council president to a four-year term. In order to keep the commission politically balanced per state statue, the appointees should be a Democrat or an Independent.

There are two Culver Board of Zoning Appeals seats for four-year terms. One seat is appointed by the town council president and the other is appointed by the town council.

Five Culver Redevelopment Commission seats are open of which two are appointed by the town council president and three appointed by the town council. The appointments are for one year.

Three Culver Tree Commission seats are open and are appointed by the town council for three-year terms beginning in September.

One library board seat is open which is filled by the town council.

In order to serve in these positions, applicants much be a resident of the Town of Culver for at least a year.

Applications can be found with this story on our website and can be emailed to kheim@townofculver.org, or it can be printed and returned to the Culver Town Hall at 200 East Washington. The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, January 4 at 4 p.m. ET in order for the council members to make appointments during the January 9 meeting.
