Marshall County Health Administrator Submits Request to Apply for a Grant

Marshall County Health Administrator Faith Freed asked the Marshall County Commissioners Monday morning to apply for a Supplemental Workforce in Schools grant.

She said it is for the school health liaison position.  She mentioned that she is not sure when the grant was due or how much it is, but she has a letter of intent.

Commissioner Stan Klotz asked how advertising worked, and Freed clarified that it is a grant requirement, but noted advertising had nothing to do with this grant request.  The grant is simply to continue with the health liaison position at the schools.

The commissioners approved support for the grant request with a unanimous vote.  The request will likely go before the Marshall County Council next week.
