The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed three resolutions last week that honor outgoing elected officials.

Commission President Kevin Overmyer read aloud from each resolution that spoke of the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of each elected official.

Marshall County Assessor Debbie Dunning started in the assessor’s office in 2001 as a deputy assessor and worked in that position for five years before being elected Marshall County Assessor in 2006.  Her term as assessor ends December 31 of this year.  Overmyer said she served the county with distinction for 20 years.

Marshall County Clerk Debbie VanDeMark started in the clerk’s office in 1999 where she worked for eight years. She was elected Marshall County Treasurer and served in that position from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2014.  She was then elected Marshall County Clerk where she began January 1, 2015.  Her term ends December 31 of this year.  Overmyer said she served the county with distinction for 23 years.

Marshall County Auditor Julie Fox started working for the county in 1986.  She was elected as Marshall County Clerk from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2014.  She was then elected as Marshall County Auditor and began serving in the position January 1, 2015.  Her term ends December of this year.  Overmyer said she served the county with distinction for 36 years.

The commissioners personally thanked them for their service and they all commented that they served the county proudly.

The commissioners approved each resolution with a unanimous vote.
