Marshall County Receives IHCDA Award for Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation

Marshall County is the recipient of $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the Marshall County Housing Rehabilitation Project to use for owner-occupied rehabilitation programs, as announced Thursday by Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.

Marshall County aims to assist 16 homeowners with an estimated subsidy per household of $31,250.  The program will seek to serve targeted populations of individuals with disabilities, families with children ages six and under, aging in place households, veterans, and single parent households within Argos, Bourbon, Bremen, Culver, La Paz and Plymouth.

Marshall County Crossroads was designated as a Stellar Region in 2019 and identified owner-occupied rehabilitation as a priority in its Strategic Investment Plan.
