Marshall County Council Approves Grant Requests and Hears Quarterly Updates

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Marshall County Council approved the grant application request made by the Marshall County Health Department (MCHD) for the Immunizations and Vaccines for Children COVID-19 Supplemental Grant. MCHD Public Health Nurse Sandy Dunfee confirmed that all vaccines must have parental consent.

Director of Marshall County Council on Aging Janis Jeffirs provided her quarterly report to the council and was approved to apply for the 2023 Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Grant. Marshall County Council on Aging is the public transit provider for the county. Plans for 2023 include a purchase to replace a low floor minivan.

Director of the Marshall County Historical Society and Museum Sandy Garrison updated the council with her quarterly report. She was happy to report that school tours have resumed and visits to the museum have increased. The monthly Brown Bag Lunch events resumed in April and will continue through October.
