The Argos Town Council accepted a bid for upcoming work on Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.
The Town of Argos received nearly $723,000 which will be used for road work on several streets, plus and curb and sidewalk in a few of the listed areas. The town will provide a match to round out funding.
The council awarded the contract to Milestone Contractors North with a bid of $867,237.97. The other bid was from Rieth Riley that bid $895,609.71.
Projects include Pond Street from State Road 10 south to the railroad tracks, East Church Street from Michigan to North Maple, Smith Street from Michigan to North Maple, East Williams Street from South Michigan to Lincoln Street, West Street from South Street to Broadway, Second Street from South Street to Broadway, Logan Street, and Sidney Street.
