“For the past couple of years we have continued to invest in our technology. We have invested over $320,000 just in equipment upgrades and improvements. We’ve got a $1.1 M investment in digital presses taking place this March. In January of this year we started production of a newer production press to the level of $2.6 M that will increase our speed, capacity and flow through of our work.”

Six sales account executives are on staff dedicated to regional coverage that extends from Indianapolis to Central Michigan to Chicago. Harman anticipates the addition of eight new employees with the equipment upgrades; beyond the four added within the past two weeks. They currently employ 64 employees.

The investment in technology has increased efficiency. The company has a contract with Walmart to produce sports posters. Last month Harmony printed 250,000 posters for Walmart nationwide.

Harmony Marketing Group staff will be creating Big Game Championship posters after the game that will be shipped to Indianapolis for distribution. Member Terry Clemens said, “That’s amazing. Congratulations!”

Harmony Marketing Group supported two Habitat for Humanity homes in Bourbon financially and through volunteerism. “Employees donated sweat equity. Harmony provided $50,000 in materials. We are really proud to be a part of that.”

Harman said, “When I drive past those Habitat for Humanity homes, it just blesses my heart to know that those families now have a home to come home to that they didn’t have before.”

Harman, who has been in Bourbon for 49 years, expressed his gratitude. “I appreciate everything the town has done in maintaining this community.”

President Ward Byers also noted that Harmony Marketing Group was a huge contributor of the Sports Court that will be completed in the Spring when asphalt is laid.

A public hearing will be held on March 8 as the next step in approving the tax abatement.
