The Bourbon Sport Court crowdfunding campaign has reached its $30,000 goal, unlocking a match from the state. “I am quite excited to say that we raised $32,065,” Town Council President Ward Byers announced during last week’s meeting, “and we will be receiving the match of $30,000 from the State of Indiana.”

Quicker upload and download speeds will be available to Bourbon residents in the coming months. Bill Haughee with Surf Broadband made the announcement Wednesday afternoon where broadband services with 100 megabit upload and download speeds will be available this year to Bourbon residents and businesses, and the Triton schools.

Every year, businesses that have been granted tax abatements must submit CF-1 forms so officials can assess their compliance and determine whether or not to continue the tax abatement.

A family in Bourbon was recently chosen to have a home built by Marshall County Habitat for Humanity volunteers, and this project will be supported by Harmony Marketing Group of Bourbon.
Marshall County Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Dean Byers said they have an ambitious goal of constructing two houses this year.
