Argos Town Council Reviews Request to Purchase Utility Department Truck

The Argos Town Council members considered the purchase of a truck for the utility department last week.

Utility Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom previously provided the council with the lowest provided quote of the few obtained.  The Mack Truck chassis would cost about $110,000 and the rest of the components would cost about $55,000.  That quote was reviewed by Town Attorney Derek Jones and he provided a favorable recommendation toward the purchase.

The council members approved the purchase.  The town will not receive the truck right away.  The lead time is about 12 to 14 months.
