The Argos Town Council members looked at the 2022 salary ordinance when they met Wednesday night.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney told MAX News that the council discussed holiday pay for employees and will continue talks about that going into the December 15 meeting. The council also needs to work employees in the Argos Fire Territory into the salary ordinance as that becomes effective in January.
Meanwhile, the employees will be getting a three percent raise. Some positions may see a different adjustment.
The council members approved the first reading of the ordinance with some changes to be considered in the ordinance during their next meeting.
