The Marshall County Commissioners agreed to wait until August 29 in order to go through with the sale of property on Plum Street for use by the maintenance department.
Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Director Doug Masterson asked the commissioners in November to look into the property as a possible storage building for equipment for the maintenance department. There has been a bit of a delay in approving the paperwork as one of the owners lives out of the country. County Attorney Jim Clevenger explained earlier that the revised Power of Attorney was not acceptable by the title company as it needs to be signed by a specialized notary. Clevenger told the commissioners last week that the owners asked for another extension as they try to resolve the notary issue.
The commissioners agreed to the extension as the current rented space to store equipment may no longer be available.
