Bremen Resident Complains about Traffic Signal at Plymouth and Bowen Streets

If residents in the Town of Bremen are unhappy about the traffic pattern at the intersection at Plymouth (State Road 106) and Bowen Streets, they should inform INDOT about the issue.

The Bremen Town Council members fielded a complaint from a resident about the traffic pattern at that intersection.  Eastbound traffic turning left at that intersection could wait a whole cycle before being able to make the turn safely, which backs up cars continuing eastbound on Plymouth Street (State Road 106).  He was concerned about safety of drivers and pedestrians in that area.

A resident in a previous meeting talked about the length of the timing of that light.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said he has previously written INDOT about the traffic pattern there on more than one occasion, but has not gotten far with the letter.  He said he would like to see one left turn lane and the other a straight or right turn lane.

Town Attorney Anthony Wagner said he has also written INDOT to complain.

Weldy told the complainant, or any resident, to contact INDOT with the issue as they are in control of the stop light at that intersection.
