Culver Town Council President Ginny Bess Munroe and former Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist met with an official at Culver Academies to explain the town council’s decision to move forward with the third phase of the Lake Max walking and biking trail along Academy Road and State Road 10.
At the last Culver Town Council meeting, it was explained that Culver Academies no longer supported the town’s third phase of the trail along Academy Road and State Road 10. After telling school officials that the council still intended to move forward with that route, the request will go before the board members again, but the abandoned railroad location may be proposed as an option that the board members may prefer, which was one of two trail routes that were initially proposed.
An update may be given in an upcoming meeting of the Culver Town Council.
