The Culver Town Council members acted on a recommendation from Utility Superintendent Bob Porter to approve a bid for proposed Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.
Porter recommended the approval of the lowest bid submitted by E&B Paving. The company’s total bid was $247,475.25. The only other bid was from Town and Country who submitted a cost of approximately $9,000 higher than E&B Paving’s bid.
The projects include mill and prep, hot mix asphalt overlay, concrete sidewalk removal, and installation of ADA sidewalk ramps where necessary on portions of West Shore Drive, Terrace Drive, Fleet Parkway, Marmont Street, Lewis Street, White Street, Lakeview Street, Lincoln Street, Miami Street, and Lakeshore Drive.
The bids also include crack sealing on portions of 21 streets in town.
The projects will begin this spring.
