Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters asked the Marshall County Council members this week to support the match amount for a Community Crossings application due at the end of January.
Peters said he’s anticipated to ask for $1 million to cover several projects in the county. The list is expected to be finalized during the commissioners meeting on Tuesday.
Last year’s $1 million request was for the length of North Michigan Road from the roundabout to 3A Road in Plymouth. Since the bids for the project came in under budget, the county was able to apply for the second call for crack sealing projects for about $27,000.
