Culver Town Council Reorganizes, Discusses Appointments

The Culver Town Council retained the same officers for 2021 as in 2020.  Ginny Bess Munroe will continue as council president and Bill Githens was re-elected vice president.

The council had five appointments to make to the Culver Redevelopment Commission.  Munroe said eight applicants submitted interest in being a member of the commission.  She added that she had not had time to talk to each individual to see who would best fit the commission. Other council members commented that they would also like to talk to each candidate before a decision is made.  As a result, the council members agreed to hold a work session on Tuesday, January 16 at 5 p.m. ET to talk to all candidates so the members can make the best decision of the commission.   Those appointments will be made at the council’s next meeting on January 26.

In the meantime, the CRC will meet January 25 to only pay monthly claims and approve the previous meeting’s minutes before a new commission is chosen.

Additionally, the Culver Town Council members voted unanimously to appoint Dick Brantingham and Dennis Bottorff to the Culver Tree Commission.
