Argos Town Council to Hold Fire Territory Public Hearing Tonight

The Argos Town Council members will host a meeting tonight to discuss a possible fire territory.

The Argos Town Council members are having a difficult time finding funds to sustain the Argos Fire Department and EMS.  In order to maintain the level of current service, or improve services, a fire territory may need to be formed with the Town of Argos, Walnut Township and Green Township.

Baker Tilly representatives will be on hand to discuss the financial impact of the fire territory and the current situation.

The town would like to increase the EMS service to full-time EMT basic service and a fire territory would assist in making that goal.

Tonight’s public hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. ET and it will be held virtually.  The link is provided here or Town of Argos website

This is one of three public hearings set on the matter. Additional hearings will be held in February and March.
