Bidders will be able to submit bids to INDOT for the Town of Culver’s State Road 10 sidewalk project and the West Jefferson Gateway project on January 13. These are two more projects outlined in the town’s plans as part of its Stellar Communities Designation.
The State Road 10 sidewalk project will add sidewalk from north of the grocery store on North Lake Shore Drive to along State Road 10 west to the Maple Ridge Villas.
The West Jefferson Gateway project will include alignment shifts in the street, utility pole relocation, the addition of pedestrian-scale decorative lighting, and widening the existing sidewalk to an eight-to-ten foot trail on the north side of Jefferson Street. The project will be from the entrance of the Sandhill Farm development to Slate Street.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the Culver Town Council members last week that the two projects were combined for bidding purposes only. The contract documents and plan sheets should be available for interested contractors to view on INDOT’s website on Wednesday, December 16.
