Marshall County Commissioners to Meet Today

Michael Burroughs, Kevin Overmyer, Stan Klotz

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today where they will hear from Plan Director Ty Adley concerning an ordinance regarding shipping containers and an ordinance amendment on solar farms.

Earlier this year, the commissioners placed a moratorium on solar farm developments more than 10 acres.  Since then, a task force met and put forth recommendations for amendments to be considered by the Planning Commission.  Several changes were made with more input from the commissioners.  That input was put back in front of the Planning Commission for consideration before the ordinance is considered by the county commissioners for readings today.

Neal Wallace from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will present a pre-pay request and a request to solicit vehicle quotes for 2021.

IT Director Michael Marshall will have an update on the live stream installed by BIS in the commissioners’ meeting room, and the commissioners will review a jail bond operations resolution, the sheriff’s salary contract and what board appointments need to be filled in 2021.

Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters, County Attorney Jim Clevenger and County Auditor Julie Fox will have regular reports.

The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
