The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed three bids that were submitted for the lease of Shady Rest Farm acreage.
Robin Roberts submitted a bid of $188.50 per tillable acre for the next three years, Schrock Farms put in a bid of $257.50 per tillable acre, and KSF Farms submitted a bid of $203.00 per tillable acre.
The current tenant, Schrock Farms, was awarded the bid and County Attorney Jim Clevenger is anticipated to put together formal paperwork to begin the lease on January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023.
