Plymouth City Attorney Continues Work on Ordinance Regarding Parking in Front Yards

Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi continues to work on a draft of an ordinance that prohibits parking in front yards in city limits.

The issue was brought up in September after Surrisi said the Plymouth Plan Commission members talked about it in a meeting.  They would like to see the City Council members address the issue in an ordinance that restricts the practice.

Surrisi has previously received photos of areas of concern from a resident who is encouraging the council members to keep the conversation going and to implement an ordinance.  He told the City Council members that another comment came in that is encouraging the ordinance to be enacted.

Council members have received mixed reactions to a possible ordinance.

Surrisi hopes to have a draft ordinance ready for consideration at the next City Council meeting.
