Argos Town Council Awards Community Crossings Bid

A bid was awarded to complete several paving projects in Argos this year.

Town Attorney Derek Jones told the Argos Town Council members last week that bids were opened for the Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.  He determined the lowest bidder and he will review the documents to make sure they’re in line.  Town Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom said he’d look over them as well to review the specs within the paperwork.

The town council members unanimously approved the lowest bid submitted by Rieth Riley in the amount of $727,993.50.  Phend and Brown, Walsh and Kelly, and E&B Paving were the other bidders.

The paving projects this year include Apple Street from Plum Street to Railroad, Church Street from Clinton to old U.S. 31, Dewey Street from Michigan to 1840 feet west of Michigan Road, West Street from Dewey Street to 375 feet north of Dewey, Cherry Street from Apple to Grove, Apple Street to Grove Street, and Railroad Street from Marshall to Plum Street.
