The Culver Town Council members will be looking for a new EMS Director.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the council members Tuesday night that EMS Director Deanna Cleveland resigned abruptly on Friday, June 5. Cleveland was announced as the EMS director at the end of December to replace Kathy Hart who retired after many years of service as the EMS director. Cleveland served about six months in the position.
For now, Scott Erickson will be acting as the interim EMS director. He will be sharing administrative duties with fellow EMS employee Stephen Kobitz until a new director is hired. The council members approved a slight increase to their wages as they will be taking on administrative duties in this interim period.
Leist noted that Erickson does not have a desire to apply to be the permanent director at this time so the position will be posted for hire. A committee will assemble to review any applications that come in and conduct subsequent interviews for a final selection to be made by the town council.
