Marshall County Museum, Jail to Remain Closed to Public

The Marshall County Museum and Marshall County Jail will remain closed to the public, even as other county facilities reopen Monday. As previously reported, the Courthouse and County Building will reopen for essential services but will have restricted public access. Security guards may limit number of people inside at a time and make sure visitors are wearing face masks.

All county facilities will remain open to county employees, but they’ll have to follow a number of COVID-19 prevention actions. The updates were finalized in a resolution by the Marshall County Commissioners Friday morning.

The commissioners also officially extended the county’s public health disaster emergency declaration to Friday, May 8. It allows the county to be reimbursed for certain expenses related to the COVID-19 response.
