Culver Town Council Approves Plan to Reopen Culver

The Culver Town Council members are providing a guideline to residents and businesses of how the town will reopen.

The guidelines pretty much follow the governor’s orders that were revealed Friday afternoon.

Specifically to Culver, the town council members are encouraging residents who are at risk to stay home.  They asking residents to wear masks when businesses reopen on May 11 to keep everyone safe.  The Culver Chamber of Commerce was working to order masks for the businesses for the employees and patrons.

Boat slips will be installed and the fishing pier will be open beginning May 11.  Social distancing is required.

Town Hall will remain closed for the time being.  The council would like to continue practices as they have been for the past few weeks.

The town council meeting on May 12 will be conducted virtually.  How the second meeting of the month will be conducted will be evaluated closer to that date.

The Culver Beach will reopen to visitors on May 30 with limited capacity.  More visitors will be allowed beginning June 14.  Representatives with the Farmer’s Market will be reviewing guidelines prior to May 30 to move forward with the popular event.

There won’t be concerts in the Culver Park until mid-June where crowds will be at 50 percent capacity.

The plan will be posted for public view in the next few days.
