The Culver Redevelopment Commission recently approved funds to help business owners welcome back customers to their stores.
In a previous meeting, Culver Town Council President Ginny Bess Munroe asked if the town could pick up the expense of buying flowers for the flower boxes for the businesses that feature them. COVID-19 has taken a toll on the pocketbooks of business owners and it’s the hope of the council that this will help brighten up Culver as business owners open their doors to customers.
Culver Redevelopment Commission President and Council member Rich West explained to the town council members at their last meeting that the CRC approved funding for the flowers for the commercial district. West said he spoke with the organization’s attorney who said it was a permissible expense.
The town will be working with The Garden by Elizabeth in this endeavor.
