Marshall County leaders are applauding the efforts of staff and the public for efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When speaking in a press gathering on Thursday morning, Commission President Kevin Overmyer gave an “excellent” rating to the Marshall County Health Department when dealing with patients with COVID-19. They respond immediately and trace the patients to notify contacts to get self-isolation started to slow the spread of COVID-19.
He also commented that the county worked hard to get ahead of the spread which helped the safety of the residents. The Health Department was also quick to get information out to the public to keep everyone safe.
Marshall County EMA Director Clyde Avery said plans for a health pandemic were implemented and worked really well for this incident.
