Marshall County Employees Staying Safe While at Work

The essential employees working at the Marshall County government buildings are following the COVID-19 response guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Indiana State Department of Health. 

Marshall County Commission President Kevin Overmyer stated Thursday in a teleconference with media members that most of the highway department workers on the job site.  They are doing what they can to make sure they are doing work at a social distance.  There are a few at-risk individuals who are still at home. 

Staff members at the Marshall County Jail are now wearing gloves and masks at all times to reduce the risk of potentially spreading the virus. 

The Marshall County Building and Courthouse and Annex remain closed to the public through at least April 20, but measures are being taken to disinfect all surfaces and high-touch areas inside the buildings.  The maintenance department is keeping up with disinfecting the buildings.
