The Culver Town Council members reviewed a recommendation at their April 14 meeting for a trash removal and recycling bid.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist recommended that the council approve the lowest bid submitted by Republic Services which is the current vendor. Leist noted that the current trash collection bill is $14.09 and will increase to $15.00 for the duration of the three-year contract. The same pick-up times will be observed and the same equipment will be used.
The council approved the contract as presented. The new contract is expected to begin July 1.
